Anderson .Paak called in big-name favors to make 'K-Pops' sing: 'I owe a lot of people'
Briefly

Anderson .Paak's directorial debut 'K-Pops' tells a heartfelt story of identity and family, interweaving themes from his own experiences as a Black-Korean artist.
The inspiration for 'K-Pops' came from spending time with my son during the pandemic, realizing how fast kids grow and wanting to create together.
I wanted to properly represent K-pop onscreen, drawing from my own heritage and experiences of feeling out of place in my family discussions.
Despite apprehension from some, I was determined to embrace my role in this project as a director and writer, aiming for authentic storytelling.
