Alice in Chains will celebrate the 15th anniversary of their comeback album, Black Gives Way to Blue, with a vinyl reissue available in various colorways on September 27.
The 2009 album marked a pivotal moment for the band, representing their return following a lengthy hiatus and the loss of their former frontman, Layne Staley.
Jerry Cantrell emphasized that their comeback was not pre-planned, stating, 'It had to be OK from here [points to chest]' - emphasizing authenticity over pleasing others.
The band remains active with a steady lineup, continuing to tour and produce music, including their recent album, Rainer Fog, released in 2018.
