At the band's headlining Coachella set last year, Armstrong tweaked the words of "Jesus of Suburbia" to allude to the war in Gaza. He frequently swaps the words of "American Idiot" to make a jab at the "MAGA agenda," as he did during the band's 2025 BottleRock performance."
