Ace Frehley, Legendary Founding KISS Guitarist, Dead at 74
"In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace's memory will continue to live on forever!"

"Frehley adopted the persona of "Space Ace" (later "The Spaceman") as a member of KISS, who released their self-titled debut album in 1974 (featuring the Frehley-penned "Cold Gin"). He remained with the band until 1982, appearing on such classic albums as Dressed to Kill, Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over, and others, as well as their legendary live album Alive! The guitarist arguably had the best of the four KISS "solo" albums that were released on the same day in 1978,"
