2000s rapper exits flight at SFO after throwing pillow at rival
"The raspy baritone vocalist was recorded confronting fellow rappers Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda after they allege Ja Rule fired first by tossing his seat pillow at them. "This is the pillow Ja Rule threw at me," Tony Yayo says in a clip before Uncle Murda stands over a vacant chair, saying that "this is where he was sitting before we got him out of here.""
"Ja Rule later took to social media to laugh about the situation. "I threw the pillow at yayo head cuz you soft," he wrote. Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda were both on the label G-Unit, co-founded by 50 Cent. The Delta flight is the latest salvo in a long-lasting feud between Ja Rule and 50 Cent. A noted nemesis of Ja Rule, 50 Cent has traded barbs with the 2000s-era rap star since 1999."
A first-class altercation on a Delta flight departing SFO involved a thrown seat pillow and ended with one passenger leaving and rebooking to New York City. Social media clips show Ja Rule confronting fellow rappers Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda after Ja Rule allegedly tossed his seat pillow at them. Tony Yayo displays the pillow while Uncle Murda points to a vacant seat, saying where the passenger had been sitting. Ja Rule posted, "I threw the pillow at yayo head cuz you soft." Cabin crews spoke with two customers following a disagreement on Delta Flight 383 scheduled to depart SFO for JFK just before 9 a.m. on Feb. 8. The flight continued to JFK and landed without issue. All three rappers were in the Bay Area ahead of the Super Bowl but did not attend the game.
