Xiaomi is developing a technology that will put a 7,000 mAh battery with 120W charging or a 7,500 mAh battery with 100W charging in a smartphone.
Honor, vivo, and OnePlus, along with Oppo and Realme, are also prioritizing higher energy density silicon-carbon cells over ultra-fast charging.
Xiaomi is among several smartphone companies looking to enhance battery capacities, moving away from the race for constantly faster charging speeds.
