Trello has upgraded its desktop app to incorporate new features, making it a comprehensive solution for project management. Key additions include an "Inbox" that allows users to convert emails into cards by sending them to a designated board-specific email address, and a "Planner" that integrates Google Calendar into Trello for seamless event viewing. These enhancements aim to improve user efficiency by reducing the need to switch between applications, making project management more streamlined and accessible.
Essentially, Trello has become a one-stop shop for all your project management needs. When you open the desktop app, you'll notice a small floating bar at the bottom center.
For each board you have, there's an associated email address. Send an email to that address and it appears in the Inbox. From the Inbox, you can drag an email to a list and it automatically becomes a card.
Planner is a calendar -- but it's not just a basic calendar built into Trello. You connect a third-party calendar to your Trello board, and Trello currently supports only Google Calendar.
