Samsung Galaxy S25 series has dormant satellite communication support
Briefly

The Galaxy S25 series introduces the Snapdragon Satellite feature, enabling satellite messaging support via the Snapdragon X80 5G modem. This marks a significant innovation as the first phones to offer such connectivity. However, the feature is not yet activated, requiring Samsung to implement a software update for functionality. Additional considerations include potential regional limitations and pricing for satellite communication, raising questions about future compatibility with other Snapdragon 8 Elite devices.
As it turns out, the three S25 series are the first phones to officially support Snapdragon Satellite which would allow users to send and receive messages via satellite over narrowband (NB) to non-terrestrial networks (NTN).
Snapdragon Satellite is part of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and more specifically its Snapdragon X80 5G modem.
Samsung will have to push a software update before users can start sending and receiving messages via satellite.
It remains to be seen how Samsung will price the satellite communication feature and which regions will get access to it.
