Sony might introduce the second generation of LinkBuds and LinkBuds S later this year. The next generation flagship earbuds and headphones, the Sony WF-1000XM6 and the WH-1000XM6, are now expected in the first half of next year.
Sony announced the WH-1000XM4 in mid-2020, followed by the XM5 in mid-2022, suggesting a two-year gap for the XM6. However, the lack of FCC news makes a 2023 launch unlikely.
