It Looks Like Fortnite Blitz Royale Is Sticking Around
Briefly

Epic Games has extended the popular Blitz Royale mode in Fortnite until August 12, following its successful launch on June 17. This faster-paced version of Fortnite allows 32 players in rapid rounds lasting under five minutes. The current Avatar Week will precede themed weeks like Boss Week and TMNT Week, featuring related weapons and items. While players enjoy Blitz Royale, Epic may consider it a permanent mode depending on the player engagement and impact on the Fortnite ecosystem. However, the mode requires improvements, especially regarding its map and storm mechanics.
Blitz Royale is a quicker and smaller version of Fortnite's battle royale, with 32 players on a tiny map, and rounds that last under five minutes.
If Blitz Royale continues pulling in tons of players, it's very likely that Epic will make it a permanent mode eventually.
Blitz Royale will definitely need some overhauls, as the initial storm circle is the same in every round, always cutting off the northern part of the island.
The current Blitz map is just a smaller version of the Reload Venture island, which was a smaller version of the Chapter 1 OG island.
