Google is working on external display tools for Android 16
Briefly

Android 16 is set to bring desktop-like features to Android, as revealed in its beta testing phase. Currently, connecting an Android device to an external monitor defaults to screen mirroring, but hidden options allow for extending the display. Early functionalities include mouse cursor limitations and a need to reconnect for viewing modes. Future updates promise improved desktop functionalities resembling Windows, like scaling and display positioning, suggesting a significant leap towards making Android a versatile desktop OS, potentially integrating features with Chrome OS.
Currently, if you connect an Android phone via USB to an external monitor, it defaults into screen mirroring.
Google has hidden solutions in place to enable the mouse cursor to move between screens.
It seems Google will aim to turn Android into a fully-fledged desktop OS when needed, and that it may even mold Chrome OS into Android.
The solution is barebones at the moment - the mouse is fixed to one screen and can't move between screens.
