"First, when you book an experience, you will be able to see the names of other people who are in the same experience, along with where they are from. Once the event is over, you can connect with others you met during the experience to exchange photos or make further plans through the app's chat feature after sending them a message request. Users will also see people they met in a new Connections tab on their profile."
"Airbnb said it has thought carefully about privacy, and the app gives you full control over sharing information with others. When you book an experience, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to share your profile picture, name, and where you are from. If you dismiss that, the app defaults to "don't share," and others will only see the picture and initials you choose to share."
Airbnb adds features to foster connections among travelers participating in the same Experiences by showing attendee names and hometowns and enabling post-event chat connections after a message request. A new Connections tab on profiles lists people met during Experiences. Privacy controls prompt users at booking to choose whether to share profile picture, name, and location, defaulting to don't share if dismissed. Users can block, report, or remove connections. Search will suggest properties excluded by active filters. Maps view is redesigned to enable searching nearby landmarks, attractions, and restaurants.
