""The images don't lie," Werdum said in Portuguese on social media. "It was so evil for that guy to punch Wanderlei. He punched the back of the head of Wanderlei. I don't know if it landed clean, but it could have been something very serious.""
"'When the fight ended, the referee disqualified Wanderlei for the three headbutts, his coach went"
Wanderlei Silva, 49, was disqualified in the fourth round of an exhibition boxing match for throwing illegal headbutts against 50-year-old Acelino Freitas. After the bout, members of both fighters' camps entered the ring and a post-fight brawl erupted. During the scuffle Silva was struck by a right hand and crumpled; Brazilian media identified the attacker as Freitas' son, Rafael Fritas. Cornerman Fabricio Werdum posted that Silva suffered a fractured nose and received facial stitches and was released after treatment. Werdum said the punch struck the back of Silva's head and could have been very serious. Freitas blamed Silva's corner for provoking the brawl.
