Briefly

Cheyanne Vlismas, a UFC strawweight fighter, announced her retirement from mixed martial arts, citing the birth of her second child and family priorities as key reasons. At 30 years old, with a record of 7-3 and a 2-2 UFC performance, she expressed deep emotional difficulty with her decision. Her statement highlighted the challenge of balancing motherhood and training commitments, emphasizing her desire to be a present parent. Vlismas thanked her supporters and the UFC, acknowledging her dreams but prioritizing family above all.
As of today I am officially retired. This decision comes with a lot of heart break. But this is something that I need to do.
This decision comes as I am choosing to be the parent that I wish I always had growing up.
I know I am young and I could make a comeback but my decision came down to could I leave my kids for 2 months for a training camp?
I hope one day my kids will know their mother give her all into being the best I can be for them.
