The suspect was arrested on July 9 for possessing child sexual abuse material and was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. Reports indicated he was seen illegally downloading this material at his home.
An investigation was initiated by the SJPD's Internet Crimes Against Children/Child Exploitation Detail Task Force in March, which led to the identification of the suspect with assistance from the FBI.
During the investigation, police discovered child sexual abuse material and found evidence suggesting the suspect may have communicated with underage girls online.
