Lazaro Dayton Hopes KO of Bryce Meredith Leads to PFL World Tournament Spot
"As you can see in the trajectory of my career, I've had a good right hand for a while. It was just a matter of setting it up and timing it, and just letting it be there. Really no surprise that it was there."
"Even though sometimes I looked like I was down at times, I knew what I was doing to go get the finish in the third. Recovered, pretty much."
"I would like to finish the year with one more fight. Hopefully PFL can give me another fight to close the year,"
"Then next year I want to get in the tournament. Show people why I'm the best 35'er in the world. So next year, get in the tournament, finish the year with one more fight."
Lazaro Dayton (9-0-1) scored his first Professional Fighters League victory at PFL Hollywood by dropping formerly unbeaten Bryce Meredith with a right hand late in the third round. The finish followed a close fight until Dayton timed and landed a decisive shot. Dayton credits a long-developing right hand and strategic setup and timing for the knockout. The result follows a prior draw with Danny Sabatello and a rising unbeaten record. Dayton aims to close 2025 with one more fight and to enter next year’s PFL World Tournament to prove he is the top 35-pound fighter.
