A woman in her 40s was victims of a robbery in downtown Palo Alto while holding her toddler. The incident, which occurred in a parking lot near Chase Bank, involved a male assailant who approached from behind, demanded her purse, and physically assaulted her, pushing her to the ground. Despite immediate police response, the robber escaped the scene. The victim suffered injuries to her knee and neck, but thankfully her child was unharmed. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The woman, who is in her 40s, was walking through the parking lot on the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue, behind Chase Bank, on Thursday around 2:30 p.m.
