Orlando Vilchez Lazo, 44, was convicted on 11 felony counts for the kidnapping and rape of four women between 2013 and 2018. He posed as a rideshare driver, targeting women waiting for their Lyft and Uber rides after leaving nightclubs. The assaults occurred in the Mission and South of Market neighborhoods. Lazo faces a potential sentence of 100 years to life in prison. The first victim was attacked in 2013, and three others were assaulted in 2018. Authorities created a DNA profile from the first victim's forensic examination, which later helped in the investigation.
