"I got a call at 9:25 a.m. from a regular who said somebody just drove into the bar," bar manager Dee Deem shared, recalling the moment when the community was shaken by the incident.
"The bar itself was not really compromised," she continued. However, she noted the broken front doors and a supporting beam that had been completely removed.
Captain Jonathan Baxter mentioned, "Two adults from the cars were injured with non-life-threatening injuries," highlighting that despite the crash, the injuries sustained were not critical.
"The firefighters said it was going to fall and so it was safer for them to take it down," Deem explained about the decision to remove the iconic Dovre Club sign for safety reasons.
