Nearly 300 attack drones and 25 missiles struck Ukraine overnight, targeting energy infrastructure and worsening widespread electricity and heat outages during a harsh winter. The strikes caused extensive destruction to residential and civilian infrastructure across Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Donetsk. Several hundred thousand households in the Kyiv region remain without power, with temperatures as low as -12 Celsius. A missile hit a postal terminal in Korotych, Kharkiv region, killing four people. Firefighters worked to extinguish fires in damaged buildings. Ukrainians supported one another and emphasized internal resilience while urgent air-defense missiles and accelerated international assistance were requested.
