"We can do things better. Some things were good, others less good," Nagelsmann stated after the match. "The conditions were not so simple, on Saturday we won 7:0 and made nine changes in the starting eleven. You have to turn a blind eye to one or two things." This illustrates the mixed performance of the German team, where external factors and player rotation were significant.
"It took us a long time to get into order in the first half. Overall, you have to look at the bigger picture. When you see how Hungary celebrates the 1-1, it is also an award for our team." Acknowledging that despite not winning, the result serves as a recognition of the progress Germany has made.
"The sense of togetherness in our team is unique," said Nagelsmann. "Last November we were all on the ground and we have developed from that. If we approach 2025 the same way we did this year, I have the feeling that we will be much better prepared than we were in 2024." This reflects a positive outlook on team cohesion and future readiness.
