You can easily upgrade all of Apple's AirPods to USB-C using these smart cases
Briefly

Engineer Ken Pillonel has developed a smart case for older AirPods models that allows users to upgrade to a USB-C charging port without needing to replace the case.
The protective cases for existing AirPods are made from durable, flexible 3D-printed plastic, installable in about 10 seconds, and allow for continued access to the Lightning port.
Pillonel's USB-C cases are compatible with AirPods 1, 2, 3 and provide a more affordable alternative compared to Apple's $99 USB-C charging case for the Pro 2.
For AirPods Max users, Pillonel's USB-C External Adapter plugs into the Lightning port and hangs off the earcup, providing a discreet solution for upgrading.
