The Ladies Lounge, initially created by artist Kirsha Kaechele, has reopened for a final glamorous fling after a successful legal appeal against a ruling demanding it accept men.
Following the legal dispute, Kaechele opted to close the Lounge rather than allow men entry, demonstrating her commitment to preserving the female-only environment.
Kaechele revealed plans for a pop-up version of the Ladies Lounge, suggesting that it may again serve as a ‘living artwork’ in spaces traditionally dominated by males.
In a statement, Kaechele joyfully welcomed back the ladies, emphasizing the Lounge's celebratory atmosphere even as it faced attempts to challenge its exclusivity.
