Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard responded to a dual emergency situation at Shanganagh cliffs and an overturned jet ski. Initially tasked to assist with the jet ski incident in Dun Laoghaire, the Coast Guard received reports about a person who had fallen 40ft from the cliffs and sustained multiple serious injuries. The National Ambulance Service and a volunteer doctor were involved in the rescue effort, where the casualty was winched to safety by a helicopter and subsequently taken to Weston Airport for hospital transport. The rescue operation concluded shortly before midnight.
