"The Valkyries' inaugural uniforms are a visual interpretation of who Valkyries are: fierce, bold and strong," said Senior VP Kimberly Veale in a press release. "When our athletes and fans alike put on a Valkyries uniform during our inaugural season, they will embody that ethos."
The uniforms feature the Golden State logo, symbolizing the Bay Bridge. The bridge connects Oakland, where the Valkyries will practice, and San Francisco.
The design includes five triangles in the wings, representing the five players on opposing teams on the court, while the sword symbolizes the Valkyrie's strength.
The Valkyries will debut their season on May 16 at the Chase Center, with two uniform versions: a Heroine Edition symbolizing strength and an Explorer Edition with violet detailing.
