The 2026 Olympic Opening Ceremonies will unfold as four simultaneous events in different locations, creating the most spread-out Games in Olympic history. The largest event will take place at Milan’s San Siro Stadium and will feature international performers including Mariah Carey and Andrea Bocelli while honoring regional resilience after the pandemic. The program will celebrate Italian art, fashion, history and contemporary culture, with tributes to figures like Giorgio Armani and Leonardo da Vinci alongside Italian rap and comedy. Marco Balich designed the ceremonies around a theme of harmony, aiming to convey inclusion, emotion and global fraternity.
