What would you write in a very last letter and why?
"The Danish postal service will deliver its last letter at the end of this month to focus on packages, citing the increasing digitalisation of society. While the public will still be able to send letters through the distributor DAO, it made us think about how we would use that last chance to send a letter. We would like to hear from you on the last letter you would write, who you would send it to, and why."
"Perhaps it would be to reconnect with a long-lost friend, or to say sorry to somebody, or even just to say thank you. Tell us. Share your experience Tell us about the last letter you would write and what it would say in the form below. Your responses, which can be anonymous, are secure as the form is encrypted and only the Guardian has access to your contributions."
The Danish postal service will deliver its final letter at month-end and will shift its focus to parcel delivery because of increasing digitalisation. Members of the public can still send letters via the distributor DAO. People are asked to describe the last letter they would write, identify the recipient, and explain motivations such as reconnecting, apologising, or expressing gratitude. Contributions can be submitted anonymously through an encrypted form, with only the Guardian having access to responses. Submitted personal data will be used solely for the feature and deleted when no longer required, and alternative secure contact methods are provided in a tips guide.
