Westcon-Comstor acquired cybersecurity distributor REAL Security to enter the Balkan market. REAL Security was founded in Slovenia in 2002 and operates in eight Balkan countries, connecting vendors with VARs, MSPs and MSSPs across Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia. The firm focuses on emerging technologies including AI, machine learning and blockchain and organizes the regional cybersecurity event RISK. Westcon-Comstor called the acquisition a strategic fit to strengthen partner support across Europe. The deal follows Westcon-Comstor's January 2024 agreement to acquire AWS consultancy Rebura, with financial terms undisclosed. REAL Security works with over 300 partners and serves more than 3,400 customers.
