We told Post Office about system problems, says Fujitsu

Richard Whittam KC stated, "In general, Fujitsu routinely and continually shared information concerning the existence of the impact of Beds with Post Office. [It] therefore follows the contemporary, contemporaneous knowledge of [Beds] within Post Office went well beyond acknowledgement of the mere theoretical possibility of [Beds]." Whittam emphasized that the Post Office had awareness for at least 25 years regarding the issues within the Horizon system.
Whittam detailed how between 1999 and 2015, approximately 736 sub-postmasters and sub-postmistresses were wrongfully convicted of fraud due to Horizon errors. It wreaked havoc on lives, with some victims facing bankruptcy and severe emotional distress, including suicides.
