Van Persie fumes after opponents field 12 players
Briefly

In an astonishing incident, Heerenveen's manager Robin van Persie expressed frustration after Fortuna Sittard mistakenly fielded 12 players during a match. The violation occurred during a double substitution where one player remained on the field for almost a minute while his team equalized, ultimately swiping crucial points from Heerenveen. Van Persie, traditionally reserved regarding referees, suggested that the equalizing goal should be reversed due to the unfair advantage provided by the extra player. He lamented this oversight as scandalous and unfathomable, highlighting the need for stricter enforcement of rules in football.
Fortuna Sittard had twelve men on the field for a minute before that throw-in. Apparently that is allowed and possible. You can't imagine that?
Normally I never talk to referees... but it can't be that they play with twelve men. That's unthinkable. So I asked the fourth official.
For example, reverse that goal. You can't play with twelve men against eleven. I really can't understand that. I think this is really scandalous.
