In a recent investigation, the NCAA found that USC exceeded the permissible number of countable coaches by six during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
The NCAA stated that the actions of eight analysts engaged in on- and off-field coaching activities resulted in USC's violations, specifically during spring and fall seasons of 2022 and 2023.
Despite the violations, head coach Lincoln Riley will not be suspended as he was not directly involved, and demonstrated compliance oversight, refuting responsibility for earlier infractions.
USC has been placed on a year of probation, fined $50,000, and will face restrictions on coaching staff participation during the upcoming season.
