Aimee Betro, accused of plotting to murder Birmingham shop owner Aslat Mahumad, has been extradited from Armenia and charged with conspiracy and firearm possession.
During a brief hearing, Betro confirmed her identity and indicated not guilty pleas to all three charges, including conspiracy to murder, before being remanded in custody.
The district judge highlighted the seriousness of the charges, stating that the conspiracy to murder and possession of a firearm are offenses that must be dealt with in crown court.
Betro's next court appearance is scheduled for 14 February, as she faces severe charges, including the unlawful importation of ammunition into the UK.
