The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has disclosed a new Russian espionage campaign that targets Ukrainian minors, recruiting them for espionage under the pretense of quest games.
The minors, aged 15 and 16, executed hostile tasks including reconnaissance, strike corrections, and arson, operating in separate cells to mask their activities from each other.
The FSB's quest game involved providing children with geographic coordinates to photograph targets and gather information, which was then used for airstrikes in Kharkiv.
All members of the enemy groups were detained, including an organizer facing life imprisonment; a liaison linked to the FSB has been charged in absentia.
