UFC 312's Jack Jenkins Plans to Fill Star Power Void on Sydney Card
Briefly

Jack Jenkins highlights a significant lack of star power in the UFC 312 card, emphasizing the opportunity for him and Gabriel Santos to fill that void. Both fighters, deemed 'top ten talent' without formal rankings, see their matchup as pivotal not only for their careers but also for the event's appeal. Jenkins believes the UFC has strategically placed them in this fight, which could lead to bigger opportunities if he secures a win against Santos, a recognized fighter in the promotion.
This guy's a top ten talent, he just doesn't have a number next to his name. And I believe I'm a top ten talent that doesn't have a number next to my name. So it's a great chance for both of us to come in here, on a big Pay-Per-View that you could say maybe lacks a little bit of star power.
It's a massive deal for me. The UFC, they make plans within plans. They don't just do things for no reason. There is a lack of, we don't have a [Dan] Hooker, we don't have a Kai Kara-France, we don't have [Israel] Adesanya, we don't have [Alexander] Volkanovski, we don't have a Bam Bam [Tai Tuivasa], we don't have those guys on this card.
The UFC is giving us this opportunity and saying 'step up, be the star you want to be.' And I fully intend to fill that void.
They obviously, they know how good Santos is, so this is a test for me to get past this one, and we'll throw some bigger fish.
