"The incident occurred on the R132 at Dowdallshill in Dundalk at around 8.20pm on Saturday evening. A female driver (20s) of one of the vehicles was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with injuries that are understood to be non-life-threatening. A passenger in the vehicle, an infant baby boy, was rushed to Children's University Hospital last night."
"Gardaí have confirmed he remains in "critical" condition today. Two people travelling in the second car were taken to hospital. A man and a female passenger were removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Both are believed to have non-life-threatening injuries. Gardaí said investigations into the crash are ongoing as they await a Forensic Collision Investigator's examination of the scene. The road remains closed today, Sunday."
