John and Jesse Roggendorf, fraternal twins and seniors at Great Neck South, are instrumental in leading their varsity basketball team to an undefeated record of 14-0. The twins, who have played together since freshman year, showcase exceptional synergy on the court, each bringing unique strengths. John, standing 6-foot-5, contributes significantly as a forward, while Jesse, at 6-1, excels as the leading scorer. Their rigorous training and clear communication enhance their gameplay, and they have gained considerable trust from their coach, who allows them input on defensive strategies. Together, they aim for a county championship for the first time since 1967.
As serious about basketball as the two are, they also let their personalities shine through. John wears number 20 and Jesse shares a similar passion.
