Trump Inauguration Marks Hell's Encore
Briefly

George McGovern, for all his mistakes and all his imprecise talk about new politics and honesty in government, is one of the few men who've run for President of the United States in this century who really understands what a fantastic monument to all the best instincts of the human race this country might have been.
Turns out even Dr. Thompson didn't have a clue that the answer to his question would prove to be infinity. I have a number of theories as to why he moved his inauguration into the Capitol.
To attribute it all to his concern for the spectators out in the cold is to give him credit for empathy that is almost hilarious given his track record.
Maybe this is the year when we finally come face to face with ourselves; finally just lay back and say it—that we are really just a nation of 220 million used car salesmen.
