"In 2016, people on the left were angry... this year, we're all in a state of anticipatory grief," says Marc Spiegler, reflecting on the prevailing mood.
"Last time it was a shock; this time around he won a majority. It's sad, but it is what it is," adds Rachel Lehmann, acknowledging the shift in sentiment.
"So far it has not been crazy good, like it has been in past editions, but not bad either," explains Amanda Roberts on the current state of the art market.
Despite strong works like Picasso and Richter on the market, gallery turnover hasn't significantly changed, with most dealers describing sales as 'decent' or 'healthy'.
