Starting January 4, 2025, the MTA will introduce its Winter Weekend discount program allowing monthly ticketholders to travel anywhere on LIRR and Metro-North for just $1, including up to two guests.
Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi emphasized the railroads' reliability and safety, stating that this discount program makes traveling more affordable for families and encourages public transit use.
