The National Fraternal Order of Police, representing over 350,000 members, has chosen not to comment on President Trump's recent pardons of individuals involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. While they previously endorsed Trump and congratulated him on his election victory, their silence on pardoning rioters who assaulted law enforcement raises questions. Trump, having pardoned about 1,500 convicted rioters, referred to them as hostages and suggested they've endured enough punishment while asserting their long jails terms in his defense of the pardons.
