Toms of Maine is being made with bacteria-filled water, says FDA
Briefly

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed that batches of Tom's of Maine toothpaste were produced with water contaminated by various harmful bacteria strains, raising significant health concerns for consumers.
Water samples used for Tom's Simply White Clean Mint Paste contained Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a dangerous bacteria linked to blood and lung infections, putting immunocompromised individuals at higher risk.
Despite being aware of bacterial contamination in their water from June 2021 to October 2022, Tom's of Maine failed to investigate the incidents or their impact on product safety.
Tom's of Maine received around 400 consumer complaints regarding the quality of their toothpaste, including issues with color, taste, and odor, yet did not conduct any investigations.
