"Tickets for the London Eye's New Year's Eve fireworks show will go on sale next Friday, the Mayor of London has announced. The prices for Greater London residents remain unchanged from last year, but have gone up for those outside Greater London who want to travel into town to see them. The first opportunity to secure a ticket to watch the fireworks in person is when tickets go on sale next Friday (17th Oct) at midday."
"RED AREA tickets cover the stretch of Victoria Embankment from Golden Jubilee Footbridge to Temple Avenue. This can only be accessed from the north side of the River Thames. This a side view further down river from the London Eye. GREEN AREA tickets cover the area behind the London Eye. This can only be reached via the south side of the River Thames. This is an up-close view directly behind the London Eye."

Standard areas cost £20 for Londoners and £40 for non-Londoners; premium areas cost £35 and £55 respectively. Designated RED, GREEN and ORANGE areas describe side and behind views with north or south river access.
