The West India Docks Impounding Station, a hidden industrial marvel near Canary Wharf, pumps millions of gallons of water to maintain dock levels in sync with the Thames.

Although normally closed to the public, the Canal & River Trust is offering tours of the Impounding Station on the weekend of November 1st and 2nd.
