Next month, the original BBC studios located in Alexandra Palace (Ally Pally), known for being the birthplace of television, will offer free tours. Despite the rundown condition of the space, it resonates with historical significance as the venue for live performances and broadcasts. The BBC established its first television services here, famously broadcasting the first regular high-definition program on November 2, 1936. These tours will take place on March 18, 2025, as part of the National Lottery Open Week, requiring visitors to present a recent lottery ticket for entry.
