"As Italy continues to remain popular for summertime travel, American is making it easier than ever for customers to shop, dine or unwind in their favorite destinations," said Brian Znotins, American's senior vice president of network and schedule planning.
Beyond the new flights, American will also expand its service to Rome by adding a second daily summer flight from Philadelphia and launching its service from Miami a month earlier in June.
That flight will be operated daily on a Boeing 787-8 aircraft, complementing the seasonal flight American operates from Philadelphia to Naples, which it first launched this year.
Tickets for the new flights will be available for purchase starting Nov. 4, ensuring travelers can easily access additional routes to Italy in the summer.
