This Underrated Destination in France Is Known As the 'Pink City' - and It's Like a Mini Paris
Briefly

Toulouse, a picturesque city in the Occitanie region of France, offers travelers a charming escape akin to Paris without the overwhelming crowds. With its scenic riverfront along the Garonne, visitors can explore a variety of cultural and historical sites, including the iconic Basilica Saint-Sernin and the beautifully restored Fondation Bemberg Museum. This city is rich in heritage, featuring structures such as the Jacobins Convent and has historical significance as part of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. It presents an authentic French experience filled with local delights and notable attractions.
Much like Paris, the city is situated on a river, the Garonne, which is (in my opinion) just as romantic as the Seine.
Toulouse is much less touristed than the City of Light, but it's certainly not short on notable attractions.
There are plenty of other historic marvels to see, such as the gothic medieval architectural wonder, the Jacobins Convent.
The Fondation Bemberg Museum just reopened last year after three years of intense renovations, showcasing 1,400 pieces of paintings, sculptures.
