"Our home is a new build on a development that was previously the site of a prestigious private boys' school. The area is steeped in local history and includes an iconic landmark - the King's Gate. We loved how the development incorporated the history of the site with the modern eco-design of the houses."
"This has meant moving away from colors and patterns we are familiar with and leaning toward more modern colors and decorating techniques. It's been a big learning curve," she admits.
"Even though the house's bones are new, it's situated on a historic site. The family moved from a small, much older property steeped in character to a newer space, in which Lois used the words 'clinical, white walls, and gray carpets' to describe the original home."
"Since buying the house eight months ago, it's fair to say that Lois has made her mark on the space. Each room is dotted with vibrant colors and, of course, leopard print throughout."
