Simple Minds is set to embark on their biggest North American tour in 40 years, joined by iconic '80s bands Soft Cell and Modern English. The tour kicks off on May 16 and includes prominent venues in California. As part of this celebration, Simple Minds will release a digital edition of the 9-track album "Once Upon a Time," which includes their hit song, "Don't You (Forget About Me)." Jim Kerr expressed excitement about touring again and will make a live appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to perform their classic hit.
"Been a while but absence makes the heart grow fonder," says Simple Minds' Jim Kerr. "Simple Minds are ecstatic at the prospect of touring so extensively in the US and Canada this coming Spring."
This tour marks the 40th anniversary of Simple Minds' biggest year - 1985 - which saw them top the charts with the "Breakfast Club" smash "Don't You (Forget About Me)," release the hit album "Once Upon a Time" and perform during the landmark Live Aid concerts.
