The winner of the Project Skydrop treasure hunt, an Andover meteorologist, has come forward
Briefly

Dan Leonard became hooked on Project Skydrop after reading about its treasure hunt, using weather data to accelerate his search for the trophy.
I analyzed any time where it was sunny and any time where it was cloudy and sort of lined that up to possible areas where it could be.
Leonard emphasized the importance of cloud patterns in his search: "It was a process of elimination" leading to the discovery of the trophy.
The trophy was remarkably camouflaged, blending in with its surroundings so well that Leonard almost overlooked it during his search.
