Initially unsure of the show's future after season one, Rothwell felt her character's storyline ended with her business proposal being discarded by Tanya McQuoid. However, upon learning of Belinda's return to the series, which will see her exploring wellness in Thailand, Rothwell expressed excitement, viewing this opportunity as a once-in-a-lifetime moment for her character's development.
Belinda was absent from season two, which (spoiler alert!) saw the demise of her one-time potential business partner Tanya, and fans were led to believe they wouldn't be seeing the holistic heroine again.
Rothwell lifted the lid on how her character's comeback came about and revealed that she initially wasn't sure the show would even get a second season.
So when Mike told me that that's what he was noodling around with, I was really excited. Then when it actually happened and the offer came through, I was just like: 'Oh my God! I get to do this again.'
